Pakistan's President Takes Control of Northwestern Province
Pakistan's president took direct control of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Oct. 11, 2026. That means the national government can overrule local leaders, like a head office stepping in over a branch. The area is led by former leader Imran Khan's party. I expect the next clue will be which officials sign and carry out government orders.
