Meta Cuts Staff Use of Outside AI Helper, Promotes Its Own

Meta has halved employee access to Claude Code, an outside artificial intelligence helper for writing computer code, from 60,000 seats to 30,000. Workers had used it for programming, research and writing messages. Meta is pointing staff to MetaCode, its own version. It remains one of maker Anthropic's biggest business customers.
