Japan's main stock market drops sharply on tech selling
Japan's Nikkei 225, its main stock index, fell 4.03% to 64,141.12 on July 17, Reuters reported. At one point it was down 6.18%. Heavy selling of tech shares, made worse by Middle East fighting, pushed it into a correction, a steep fall from a recent peak. For savers, it shows how crowded chip stocks spread global shocks fast.
