Three military-led countries start shared Russia-supported TV channel

Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger started their shared TV channel, Tafouk TV, in September 2026. With support from Russia, it will show news from the viewpoint of the three countries' military rulers. Russia's representative in Bamako, Mali's capital, praised the start. The Financial Times says the goal is to win more support at home.
