Britain's secret visit to save Jerusalem office fails

Britain failed to stop Israel from closing its diplomatic office in East Jerusalem. Jonathan Powell, Britain's top security adviser, made a secret visit to Jerusalem last week to ask Israel to undo or postpone the closure. He met Israeli officials but got no deal, news reports say.
