Thousands of French Students March for Better Schools

Tens of thousands of students marched in cities across France on October 6, 2026. Reuters called it the biggest day of the school protests. Students blocked hundreds of high schools, saying schools get too little money, like a house needing repairs. They supported teachers who stopped work since September 21. Police fired tear gas, which stings eyes, in some cities.
