People with basic truck licences can now drive heavier electric trucks

People with a standard truck licence can now permanently drive heavier electric trucks. Before, they needed an extra licence if the truck weighed more than 4,500 kg. Now they can drive electric trucks up to 7,500 kg. This brings New Zealand in line with other countries and matches the weight of most electric delivery trucks used in cities.
