U.S. Attack on Suspected Drug Boat Kills 4 in Caribbean

Four alleged drug smugglers were killed Oct. 5, 2026, in a U.S. military strike along known Caribbean smuggling routes, U.S. Southern Command said. It is part of Operation Southern Spear, begun September 2025, now at least 235 deaths in 70 strikes. President Trump calls it an 'armed conflict,' like a war, raising legal oversight questions.
