Two Major Earthquakes Kill at Least 164 in Venezuela

Two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela's Yaracuy state on June 24, less than a minute apart. The second one hit before people could escape buildings damaged by the first one, trapping more people. At least 164 people died and nearly 1,000 were injured across an area where 3.9 million live. Rescue workers are still searching through collapsed buildings, and the final death count is expected to rise.
