Trump Says Europe Will Share Diesel Fuel; Europe Hasn't Confirmed It

President Donald Trump said on Oct. 2, 2026 that Europe agreed to quickly release a lot of stored diesel fuel, like opening a spare pantry. No European officials have confirmed that. Trump wants more fuel available to lower high prices caused by slowed ships in the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway carrying oil. Amount and timing are still unclear.
