MPs say BBC TV charge is out of date

A group of culture and media MPs said the yearly BBC charge is out of date, not working, and change is needed to stop a slow slide in money and programmes. They said 94% use the BBC each month but only 80% of homes pay. Ministers are deciding funding from 2028 under the next Royal Charter, the BBC's deal.
