Pentagon Asks Musk and Others to Study Future Wars

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Project Meridian on Sept. 30, 2026, a U.S. military (Pentagon) review of how future wars could be fought. It will be co-led by Elon Musk, company chief Palmer Luckey of defense firm Anduril, and ex-Congress leader Newt Gingrich. Its stated goal is figuring out what tools America needs to stay unbeatable in future fighting.
