The U.S. government's 10-year borrowing cost hit a 24-year high on September 30, 2026, the highest since 2002, WSJ and Investopedia reported. Think of it as the interest on a 10-year government IOU. I see that as making home loans and other borrowing pricier, while savers may earn a bit more.
