Stocks Dipped in September, but Still Up a Lot This Year
U.S. stocks fell in September through Sept. 20, Yahoo Finance reported: the broad S&P 500 down 1.75%, the tech-heavy Nasdaq down 1.5%. September usually dips about 1.1% since 1928, the weakest month. For savers, perspective: stocks were still up 12.3% in 2026. I see this as normal wobble, not the year's final story.
