Navy picks Boeing to build its next fighter jet

Boeing will design, build and deliver the Navy's F/A-XX fighter, the company said on September 29, 2026. It's billed as 6th-generation — like a next-model car, but for jets. Boeing beat rival plane-maker Northrop Grumman, Reuters reported.
