French Party Leader Denies He Sent Hateful Messages

Jordan Bardella, head of France's far-right National Rally, said on Sept. 29, 2026 he did not write messages hostile to Jewish people in 2013-2015, calling a report by Mediapart false. As rivals sought his resignation, he claimed a 'total war' on his party to 'kill my political career.' He sued, saying the report lied. Mediapart says it checked the messages.
