Israel's security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir led hundreds of Israelis into the Al-Aqsa Mosque area in occupied East Jerusalem on September 28, 2026, with police guarding them. The visit was on day three of Sukkot, a Jewish holiday. Officials said 900 entered that morning while streets were closed. Ben-Gvir said 'we are the owners of the place in Al-Aqsa'.
