Company That Checks Automated Phone Voices Raises $25M

Boston company Modulate raised $25M led by Future Ventures, with Hyperplane and Lakestar joining. Its software uses more than 100 small programs to write down what automated phone helpers say, check mood, spot fake voices, and enforce rules in tightly regulated businesses. The 40-45 person firm plans to hire 10 more to build the technology.
