Lebanon's Offer: Leave, We'll Disarm

Lebanon's Prime Minister Nawaf Salam told the United Nations in New York on September 25: if Israeli troops fully leave Lebanon's official border, Lebanon will oversee taking weapons from Hezbollah, its armed group. "We want the war to end and we want the ceasefire [with Israel] consolidated," he said, meaning a pause in fighting.
