Pope Visits France, Warns Smart Machines Should Help, Not Rule

Pope Leo XIV started a three-day France visit Sept. 25, 2026. At the Élysée palace, he warned against losing humanity in a 'paradise of machines' made by artificial intelligence, computers that learn and decide. He said schools should teach moral judgment, so tools help people, not control them. It is the first official pope visit to France in 18 years.
