UK Universities Talked to a Weapons Company About Student Protests

Thirteen UK universities talked with weapons-maker BAE Systems about handling student protests supporting Palestinians, emails and papers obtained by Liberty Investigates and Al Jazeera show. They discussed stronger event security and shared replies to criticism. Named schools include Manchester, Nottingham, Southampton, Birmingham, Strathclyde and Cranfield. Whether this was normal safety planning or pressure over student punishment is still disputed.
