More U.S. oil left than expected

U.S. company-held oil, not counting the government's emergency stash, fell just 0.6 million barrels to 423.4 million in the week to Sept. 11, the EIA, the U.S. energy data agency, said Sept. 16. Experts expected a 1.62 million drop, Reuters reported. Like a fuller pantry, that extra oil can help hold down gas prices.
