US safety agency investigates add-on steering device after deadly crashes

US road safety officials are investigating a device from Comma.ai that can be fitted to regular cars to steer them without the driver holding the wheel, after five reported crashes. Officials say two crashes killed three people, and four crashes hurt as many as 11 people, some badly.
