Man cuts open small migrant boat during Channel rescue

Daniel Thomas, known as Danny Tommo and described as far-right, cut open a rubber boat carrying people seeking safety across the Channel on 22 September while a rescue worker was aboard, streaming live to 100,000 viewers. Hampshire police are looking into it. The RNLI lifeboat crew handed those saved to border officials. Private boats near rescues may face tighter rules.
