Qualcomm Chip Can Run Powerful AI on the Device Itself

Qualcomm says its Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, shown at its Snapdragon Summit, can run a powerful 30-billion-parameter AI system entirely on the device, splitting work among specialists. Apple released a smaller 20-billion-parameter version of that design at its Worldwide Developer Conference in June.
