$69 billion of two-year U.S. Treasury IOUs sold Sept. 22 at 4.787%, per WSJ, the highest rate since May 2024. Think of the rate as the fee investors charge to lend to Washington for two years. When that fee rises, borrowing costs and savings rates can follow. I see it as today's price, not a prediction.
