Anthropic's new Opus 5.5 AI costs 40% less to use

Anthropic announced Claude Opus 5.5 on Sept. 22, 2026, costing 40% less to run than Opus 5. The lower price applies to its Opus family, the versions used for office tasks and writing computer code, cutting the computer bill for running everyday business uses.
