Germany's Leader Won't Quit After Election Losses

Germany's top leader, Friedrich Merz, said September 21 he will not quit as chancellor or as head of his CDU political party after losing regional elections in Berlin and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on September 20. He called the losses a 'disaster' and promised to keep pushing his reform plans.
