Mother accused of stabbing three very young children, one dies

Police allege a mother in her 40s stabbed three children under age five inside a vehicle in Valley Heights, in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, on 20 September 2026. One child died at the scene. Bystanders, or people nearby, gave first aid — basic emergency help — before emergency workers arrived. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
