Ukraine sent 1,000+ drones at Russia, including hundreds at Moscow

Ukraine sent more than 1,000 small pilotless planes, called drones, into Russia overnight to Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, with hundreds headed for Moscow. Russia's Defense Ministry said it shot down 1,100 drones over Russia, Crimea and Black Sea waters. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said 450 were stopped on the way to Moscow, calling it the city's 'largest ever' attack.
