Ukraine fired 1,000+ drones at Russia in "largest ever" attack on Moscow

Ukrainian forces fired more than 1,000 drones at Russia overnight to Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, including hundreds toward Moscow. Russia's Defense Ministry said it shot down 1,100 drones over Russia, Crimea and Black Sea waters. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said 450 were destroyed en route to Moscow, calling it the "largest ever" attack on the capital.
