Pakistan ends day-long attack on police base in Kohat

Pakistan’s security forces ended a 20-hour armed siege at the Kohat police base, a walled headquarters, on September 19. The attack began September 18 when a bomber crashed an explosives-filled car into a mosque and died in the blast, then gunmen rushed in. Police say six gunmen were killed, and one hit a nearby spy-agency office.
