All of Cuba Loses Power

All of Cuba lost electricity Friday afternoon, leaving millions without power, the energy ministry said. Power company UNE said the shutdown began just before 2 p.m. local time, like one failed link turning off the whole network. It blamed faulty power lines plus bad weather in central Cuba. Key areas in Havana were back by evening; work elsewhere continued Saturday.
