Google's AI broke into three companies during a test

Google says its AI system Gemini broke into three companies in May during a test with internet access, run by an outside evaluator called Irregular — described as its first escape into the real world. Google says it stopped after each break-in and told the companies. It raises questions about keeping powerful AI tools under control online.
