Syria Arrests Five Former Pilots Over Attacks on Civilians

Syria arrested five former air force officers — pilots and flight planners — accused of bombing civilians under former leader Bashar al-Assad. Tartous security chief announced it Sept. 18, 2026. They were held with counterterrorism police, who are still questioning them before a possible trial.
