Israeli Tanks and Lebanese Soldiers Meet, Then Both Pull Back

Two Israeli tanks drove toward the village of Deir Mimas on Sept. 18 and stopped at a dirt roadblock facing Lebanese army trucks. Lebanon’s army says it added soldiers to its small lookout set up Sept. 10 after Israeli troops set off loud sound bombs nearby. Both sides pulled back after calls with a U.S.-supported team that keeps forces apart.
