Israeli Tanks Face Lebanese Army at Deir Mimas Barricade, Then Withdraw

On Sept. 18, two Israeli tanks advanced toward Deir Mimas and stopped at a dirt barricade facing Lebanese army vehicles. Lebanon’s army said it reinforced its Sept. 10 observation post after Israeli troops threw sound bombs nearby. Both sides later withdrew after contact with the U.S.-backed deconfliction group.
