Malaysia's Former Leader Will Stay at Home Instead of Jail

Former Malaysian leader Najib Razak will finish his jail time at home instead of in prison, until August 23, 2028. Malaysia's king approved it after meeting with a special pardon group that can shorten punishments. Najib has been in prison since August 2022. It is not yet clear how officials will check he stays home. Written rules are expected.
