Labor will lock up people who stay after visas expire, Tony Burke says. The home affairs minister announced 17 September 100 staff to find them, plus 250 spare beds and possibly a 100-bed quarantine block in Victoria. Aim: hold around 77,000 people here without visas for weeks to push them to leave. He says it's how things ran before 2015.
