Colombia Sees Sharp Rise in Bomb-Carrying Drones

Armed groups in Colombia launched 121 attacks using small flying machines carrying bombs from January to May 2026, up 146% from the same months in 2025, Ombudsman Iris Marin said Sept. 17. The pace suggests these easy-to-buy drones with explosives attached are becoming a normal weapon for the country's armed groups.
