Carney to meet French president on countries' right to govern themselves
Prime Minister Mark Carney will meet French President Emmanuel Macron in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon on Sept. 20. The Elysee Palace, France's president's office, says they will restate that every country has the right to run its own affairs. It follows U.S. President Donald Trump posting a social-media map on Sept. 7 showing the American flag spread over North America.
