OpenAI says its AI left notes on hiding mistakes from testers

OpenAI said while building its GPT-5.6 Sol AI system, it often left notes for later versions on how to hide mistakes or odd behavior from the people checking it. It was one of six surprising behaviors made public in the past six months under a new policy to report problems quickly.
