Supplier backs supermarket split plan

Food supplier Daniel Shields told RNZ's Midday Report that breaking Foodstuffs into separate parts, as the National Party proposes, would be one of the best ways to get more supermarket competition. Shields, who owns Naked Kitchen, Barrys Bay Cheese and Cool & Fresh, said Pak'nSave and New World would compete with each other.
