Government paid at least £2.4m to online stars since July 2024

Government offices have paid at least £2.4m to people with big online followings since July 2024. Government ministers said so when answering formal questions from Conservative MPs, elected members of Parliament. The BBC said the figures were first reported by the Politics At Sam And Anne's podcast.
