Family Says Utah School Failed to Protect Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk’s family filed a Sept. 9 notice, an official warning before a lawsuit, against Utah Valley University, local police and Utah. The family says major security failures left the 31-year-old exposed when a rooftop gunman killed him before thousands in 2025. The university confirmed it got the notice and said nothing more. Such warnings often lead to lawsuits.
