Microsoft AI Leader Says AI Doesn't Feel or Think

Microsoft AI chief Mustafa Suleyman published 'A Warning About Model Welfare' on Sept. 16, saying AI is not conscious. He describes AI as hollow tools that complete patterns to follow human instructions and goals, like autocomplete on a grand scale, with no feelings, suffering, experiences, preferences or motivations of their own.
