Amazon Raises Starting Pay to $20 an Hour for U.S. Workers

Amazon announced September 16, 2026 it will raise minimum starting pay for full-time U.S. core operations workers to $20 per hour. Eligible workers get $1 more per hour, lifting average pay to nearly $24. The company says it will spend over $1.5 billion, with average pay plus benefits worth over $32 per hour.
