Major Chipmaker May Start Building Computer Memory in America

SK Hynix is discussing with Intel making computer memory parts in the United States for the first time, reported Sept. 16, 2026. Think of these parts as a desk where a computer does its active work. SK Hynix said it is looking at ways to stay competitive worldwide, but no specific plans have been finalized.
