Burnham must pick taxes or cuts

Former Bank of England chief economist Andy Haldane said Prime Minister Andy Burnham must raise taxes or spend less at the 28 October Budget for tax and spending. He said investors suspect a “traditional tax and spend socialist government with better TikTok videos.” Burnham said: “That doesn’t tell the story. We are not that.”
