Plan to ban sharing home addresses

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said she will change the law so putting someone’s home address online, like pinning it to a noticeboard, is a crime. She said this practice, called doxxing, is currently illegal only if meant to cause fear, harm or distress. She spoke after RNLI volunteers were targeted online after Channel rescues.
